Archaeologist Career

Unlike my previous career, the Adventurer Career, this is a more realism-based type career. Want a taste of what it’s like to be a real archaeologist? The pay is ridiculously low, and the work is hard plus it takes forever to gain any real respect in your field. If you play this career, be sure to read the career level descriptions that my best friend, the real archaeology acolyte, helped write. The biting reality of the descriptions can get quite snarky and humorous. Although this career is different than my previous one, because it uses the Archaeology skill, it still requires the Jungle Adventure GP. You don’t need to take anywhere near as many trips to Selvadorada in this career as you do with my Adventurer Career, but you do still get extra vacation days to start off this career with. Oh, I also created a brand-new interaction for this career! Now you can write research papers on any computer to gain promotions and increase your archaeology skill. The papers take about an hour or two to write.

Yet another trait inspired by my own life experience (what can I say, it’s easier to draw upon my own experiences than to completely make something up). An Artist Sim learns the Painting Skill faster than anyone and excels in all art related careers. They actually have Fun painting and have many themed buffs/moodlets and whims. As with most real artists, they have more difficultly becoming famous than Sims in other fields and also might go a little crazy when they haven’t painted in a while.

Askforloan

Your Sims can now contact an investor by phone to come over. They can then ask for a loan. The small loan option will actually charge your Sim with a 20.000 § debt and is thus suitable if you want to have your Sim "pay" for the money the game gave them as a start budget. The large loan option will grant your Sim a loan of 30.000 §. Interest is 15 % on both types of loans. You can have multiple loans at the same time. Payment, RepoMan Appearance and such is the same as with the University student loans. <strong>Requires: Discover University and City Living</strong> <strong>Compatibility Notes:</strong> Overwrites the ask for loan options your Sim get when they have a high Charisma skill. Existing loans can be paid back despite the mod being installed. Also overwrites the invite Jasmine Holiday phone interaction (if there should ever be another challenge with Jasmine, just take the mod out as long as you wish to participate. Loans will still function if you take the mod out, you just cannot ask for new loans then.
